A proper stable of arms is starting to assemble itself.

Greinke, Framber, Javier, LMJ, Urquidy, Peacock, and Garcia who has looked good in his 2 opportunities. Hopefully Verlander can add himself to that list.

At this point aside from Pressly, the only "relievers" that should have a chance at meaningful postseason innings are Paredes, Taylor and Raley as a situational guy. Scrubbs ERA still looks great, but his walks haven't slowed at all so I don't want the playoffs to be when that damn finally breaks.

They just announced there will be no off days for the playoff games.

could impact several team’s pitching plans for the post-season as you now will likely need 5 potential starters or consider short rest starts.

Predictably, teams like the Dodgers are complaining.

I was expecting 1-2 off days in the ALCS and NLCS, but I'm shocked by how shocked teams seem to be. The gap to start the division round after the wild card round sucks.

Predictably, teams named the Dodgers are whiny b****es.

Yeah, shouldn't really surprise anybody. The NBA and NHL have already set the bubble precedent.

If there's no travel, there's no off days... and that's that.

Bullpens are going to need to be managed well. Managers may need to resist the urge for extremely early hooks that have become common in the playoffs. Starters are going to need to be prepared to go on short rest.

    Should be fun.

Yep... every time it gets brought up, it becomes even more egregious.

Why the **** was there an off day between games 1 and 2. Still makes no sense. Nobody has been able to explain it rationally and it seems like it hasn't happened at any other point since.

Some teams will likely prepare to have starters go on short rest. I'm hoping Astros go balls out each series with plan not to go to an elimination game.

Is Javier now coming out of the bullpen, and if so why?

But can the pitchers somehow find a way to pitch at a venue other than MMP?

Its baffling as to the pitchers home/road splits. Its the single biggest reason why their record is what it is... conspiracy "sign stealing" theories be damned.

Why? This limits disastrous Kershaw starts.

Have you ever fouled a ball off your foot/shin/ankle?

I hit my foot on the coffee table yesterday. Society says that or a paper cut is the worst kind of pain. I'm out today.

Dierker always said to take a ball and throw it as hard as you can at the affected body part.

Yep... and chances are the ricochet speed off the bat is much faster than what somebody can throw.

Acute pain is sometimes better than chronic 'discomfort'
