I'm gonna go with Musgrove's first quality start on the road...or if they pull him before 6, then 5 solid innings and a win

David Ortiz is the greatest ****** to play baseball since Babe Ruth.

Expecting a crap outing from Musgrove as he's been complete trash on the road.

Will gladly give him credit if he does well.

Mussina finally winning 20 games is one of my favorite final seasons in recent memory. Could have stuck around and tried to get 300 wins and automatic HOF, but instead went out on top.

this isn't fair. ump called marisnick safe, so teoscar left base.

this should be one out. there's no need to review, it isn't fair.

That is exactly not what happened. He called the runner to 1st out, all Teo had to do was stand on the base, but he wandered off and got tagged, there was no dead ball called, no time called. That's 2 outs.

    huh??

when an ump opens his palms and makes a sweeping motion with his arms out to his sides, that means "safe".

    closed fist/pump means "out".

game is being played under protest by melvin.

not sure if getting out of inning clean negates that.

What do you mean? He called Marisnick safe. Teoscar should have just stayed on the bag and let them throw the ball to 2nd for the out but he left the bag, mistakenly or not, with the information that Jake was safe. I think the outcome they ended up with after review was fair.

I don't know what the ruling is, but I imagine the umpires got it right for no other reason than you can't penalize the runner for reacting to the call on the field as that would be just ass rack backwards.

Ok, ok, ok, you guys are correct. I was watching from the patio and just rewound it.

Please don't listen to anything I say ever again.

That play is so confused that I had to think over and over in my head to check if their call was right
