Holy ****, Devo walking a guy with 1 hand to force in a run is the most perfect ending to this series I can think of.

Let's hope this sacrifice at least pays off in a Rockets W tonight.

Why on earth would you burn another pitcher here? Make Devo finish this sh!tshow no matter how many runs he gives up.

Is this weekend like when @Hey Now! sacrificed Deshaun's ACL for a WS win?

Relief pitchers are kind of important.

They could of used relief pitchers to start the 1st inning, or 2nd inning, several teams did it successfully. Let Framber finish. No imagination from the Stros.

You would be down 6-0 before Framber got the ball.

I ain't even mad. Got to fix those late inning woes with the pitching staff. it's seems cyclical every year, but this season is short and a bunch of nobodies at the helm in that bullpen.

That's not how or why teams use openers.

I wasn't going to put it out there like that, but, sure, it might be worth Osuna's ulnar collateral ligaments for another Larry O'Brien trophy, right?

Oh yeah. This NBA title is a ton more legit than the WS will be.

Stros have sacrificed enough blood at this point, I think. Bring on the Lakers.

this is the first time in a while I have had a chance to log in and vent. I wanted to vent. Injuries piling up. No pitching. All of this is just frustrating. We went from a powerhouse that was going to contend for several years to meh in a couple of years. Maybe Click can pull some rabbits out of his hat and get some pitching and other moves that move the needle. Baker inspires my as much as a dry sponge.

Is it too late to retract that extension that was given to Baker?

No, but managers are fired all the time with years remaining. There may be a buyout clause, but we'd definitely have to eat at least some dead money.

Yeah, they aren’t losing because of Baker though. They are losing because, in their currently depleted form, they just aren’t good enough. This team has no chance until they get healthy. All you can hope for is for them to get back to normal at just the right time, which could still happen, but feels increasingly unlikely.
