Cowboys look disinterested. Obviously all the talk about the coach leaving has affected morale. Or something.
Cowboys are an average team with average team talent. They are overhyped every year, know why? Because they are the media's favorite team. You know how fans overrate their own players? That's what happens with the Cowboys every year. They act like they are loaded with talent, they aren't.
I don't think their issue is talent - they just seem to be extremely inefficient. They have some good-to-great talent all over the field, especially on offense. They are #1 in many offensive categories and move the ball with ease, but they are #8 in scoring. They just seem to function as less than the sum of their parts.
It's just poor execution and players losing individual match-ups. You can't overthink it. The offensive line was dreadful most of the night. Dak can't perform under pressure like that...running for his life. Dak is only good when he has decent protection. Otherwise, he's a bit like a chicken with his head cut off. To me, the Cowboys don't have any depth at key positions and, when they lose starters, they lose a lot at those positions. And, it shows.
"I certainly understand the fans asking questions," [Sean] Payton told WWL. "I got the guy at frickin' Whole Foods asking me about the two-point play. I looked at him, the guy in the meat section, and I said, 'Hey your steaks don't look too good right now. Worry about your frickin' meat.'" https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...worry-your-frickin-meat-failed-two-point-play
