    from ESPN mock draft:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qUQyS6M2DAA&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qUQyS6M2DAA&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Foster was the SEC player of the year last year. I know people on this board have talked of needing a lights out shooter to punish double teams.

As you might guess from my name, I am a Vandy alum, and I know we got burned with Dan Langhi, but I think Foster might be worth taking a chance on, he seems to have more speed and jumping ability than a Langhi or a Novak, plus he is not undersized for a guard at 6'5.

btw that video reminds of the McGrady vs. San Antonio comeback, the fearlessness and the assuredness to take the clutch shot, and the ability to elevate

I'll trust this pick when you can name one good basketball player from Vandy.

Draftexpress reported that he didn't shoot to well in pre draft camps. His shooting mechanics remind me of nick van excel which might cause him to be streaky. I would like the pick at 54, but I don't think he falls that far in the 2nd round. The rockets probably draft a Euro and stash him in the second.

Michael Redd is a reliable shooter hmmmmm I'd try to see if he is an upgrade to Luther before we draft him if we do. Bottom line is Luther needs to go seriously

His release takes a bit of time. That might not translate well in the NBA. If the guy can play good defense and make wide open threes..Perhaps. I rather see Novak improve on his defense. He has a sweet shot.

at least he can jump! He had that one alley-oop.

Seriously, he is probably not as good a shooter as Novak but he probably does everything else better.

I agree Novak can just shoot...Foster can score the ball without shooting the 3 because he can at least put the ball on the floor.

I really recommend getting CJ Miles as T-Mac backup.

6'6 is undersizes for a SG? Poor Wade, Kobe, Manu, etc.

He looks good to me, the way he leans back creates space for an average release speed.

But Mario Elie was a slow release too........

    This draft is deep.

whats with all the novak comparisons? this guy is more athletic than novak and looks like a good pickup for the second round.
