I detest the way he has to force just about every convo to how horrible religion is.
The panel would be talking and he sits an waits for an opportune moment to inject it into convo . . . .
Rarely does his show goes 10 minutes with a few jabs and bars . .. alot out of nowhere

    he is an AntiReligion Zealot

The only thing I will say in response is that he doesn't hide that he is not a believer in religion and thinks it is foolish.

Finally watched the maher clip and that lady is dangerous because it's clear she has no depth of idea what Islam is. I'm not saying Maher is an expert, but the debate needed someone with more knowledge. It's almost like some form of idiotic mouthpiece where you exist solely on the will of your sheer ignorance and you encourage audience members and partisans that it's okay to be equally ignorant.

I'm glad the senator from Maine was measured in his responses...

It's the standard attention span of an audience. If it were longer and without a direct and visible line for the issue to stand on, channels would be flipped.

Maher's format is similar to the daily show/Colbert format, so I guess that formula for political entertainment works while other mediums like meet the press or McLaughlin Group are flatlined with mediocre ratings.
