I dont expect him to earn a spot but I hope we at least get to see him in action down the stretch to see what we got. Dantoni isnt going to magically play 11 guys.
All he needs to be able to do is hit 3 pointers at an NBA average rate and he will have a long career.
he needs to start doing yoga. those hips look hella stiff. makes sense why the "5" would be a good fit for him.
Yep, but 7'7 wingspan makes up for this. The way he attacks closeouts and especially his recovery when beaten, could be special. Offensively more advanced than Clint. Ability to put ball on floor and attack rim is underrated. Already an effective weak side defender.
I honestly don't think he plays... He may get a few spot minutes for scouting, but even in this video he gets beat off the dribble twice by Rivers and goes for a pump fake at the 3... I love the guy's potential and I hope he is a solid part in the future. I also hope I'm wrong and he's ready now!
I want to see him get a chance. I still think he needs another offseason to work on his game and body to be a regular rotation player, but he has some tools that look like he can help some right now in certain matchups. I would play him before Chandler and Harty. If he can shoot that thang with confidence and knock down a few 3s here and there, he will get some time.
I'll be honest - Bruno Caboclo highlights were the last thing I expected when I logged in today ... 5 stars just for variety. Nice.
Hope u not judging just off this clip. Otherwise Rivers should get no play time either, beat twice too.
He won’t play this season besides meaningless minutes nor should he. The guy was traded for Jordan Bell who was traded by Minny. Different systems or not, Memphis’ scouting ain’t too shabby and obviously didn’t see him as much of a contributor. Not to mention all the other teams passing on him for the past 6 years. Hope he continues to works hard and maybe next season will get a chance to show something. (There are 28 games left in this season and then the playoffs. Does anyone on here actually believe you can throw a kid like this in our rotation? Even if he does have good games, no coach would trust a player like that in the playoffs)
Been saying this since preseason camp when he was cut. iHart was a draftpick and because of that Morey overrates him and underrates other non-draftees. Look at Chris Wood for godsakes, he's better then both iHart and Caboclo, and we let him get away too! My philosophy is collect and keep talent regardless if they are drafted or undrafted.
Dude is only 24 and has improved greatly over the last 18 months. It's not out of the question for him to contribute this year and then be a strong rotation piece next year.
Umm... I saw Rivers get scored on by Russ (not beat off the dribble, causing a breakdown of defense). That was the only one...
I hope he develops into the long, athletic defender we need. Another player like RoCo or Luc Mbah a Moute would be a dream.
