Remember how the texans tried so hard to get that guy and he just used the texans for leverage.

But the texans made a good decision and got two good defensive players for nnamdi asomugha?

This whole dwight deal kinda has that same feel to it. Execept dwight isnt a free agent now.

I hope the rockets cant do the same thing and possibly get some quality players for dwight .

Dwight Howard isn't an unrestricted free agent.

I might be buying if you're saying that we ultimately end up getting better value with Bynum like we have with Joseph.

He was considered a top 5 cover corner.

Top 2 while being neck and neck with Revis. Not so much anymore.

He was considered the #1 or #2 CB along with Revis.

This is much worse, since Dwight is seemingly the only "option" in this case.

However, Andrew Bynum would be a nice consolation prize, and as some of stated on this BBS, ultimately the better decision. I.E Jonathan Joseph/Danieal Manning.

The only saga is that the rockets fans think they have a shot at dwight howard. Yall need to stop letting this worry you, if you haven't learned by now the magic ain't trading dwight.

Was he considered a top 5 overall player? That's my point. He wasn't. QB's usually fit there.

Nnamdi was the best player on the market last summer, so I see some relation. Arguably the best CB in the league and the best player up for grabs at the time and was seen by many as the answer to all of Houston's prayers. Kinda like many of you think Dwight is the answer to our prayers.

    Thank you.

The Texans pursuit of Asomugha = Serious interest (while maintaining options)

The Rockets pursuit of Howard = All in desperation (while scuttling entire roster)

i love dwight and think he's without a doubt the best big man in the game, but I dunno I just have issue with trading for a guy the other team can just foul at the end of the game and force to either make free throws or bench....it's like a big bat in baseball, if you really have to face him with 2 outs in the 9th you can just walk Pujols and voila you just rendered a $30m/yr player useless......Bynum is at least a threat at the line compared to dwight
