2nd round playoffs is objectively not mediocre, regardless of your feelings.

you should make a list of teams that have won championships in the last 10 years. You’ll notice most teams aren’t on it.

It seems obvious, but it’s useful for people that lack perspective.

We aren’t? Anyone else been close against a healthy GSW?

    Thought so...

So the fact that Arizona chose to take a boat load of cash and also didnt like playing in the rockets culture of catering the stars had nothing to do with Arina leaving. It was just Morey saying I can afford you and you want to come back but I am going to let you walk. Got it

Where did you get this? LOL.

I recall from the time that he was offered the USD15M deal by Phoenix and the Rockets didn’t want to give that sort of deal to him.

GS wasn't near healthy and they still beat us. The Lakers embarrassed us. Any other excuses?

They seemed pretty near healthy in 2018.

Excusing for not winning a championship?

How about this one, we don’t have 4 HOF on one team. We don’t have arguably the GOAT with Anthony Davis, either.

Shame on you Daryl for not getting it done. o_O:D

All reports indicated Ariza wanted to comeback but the Phoenix offer was way to good to pass up. I don’t know where you are getting the beer stuff from

What about losing to a KD-less Warriors team? What about trading away your ONLY serviceable big man mid-season knowing the Lakers were huge up front? What about not bringing back Ariza? Faried? CP?

Excuses, excuses, excuses...How can you talk about winning championships, when we haven't been past the WCF? If the Rockets kept all 3 of the guys I mentioned, we'd be FAVORITES to win this year

Define “well”.....never having made the Finals his entire glorious career and getting a mulligan from the fans for each and every bad move he (continually) makes. Reading these posts, I feel like we need to send in a Swat team to save Morey, because apparently he is being held captive by management and has no freedom whatsoever. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.....

    Million dollars well.

If you have SWAT team, pls escort Tilman out, he is the bigger 'Evil'.

Morey can make his own decision to stay or leave.

I won't harp on that point, the main rebuttal was that rockets didn't just let ariza walk bc it was a good idea. Also while i don't have articles from 2 years ago. The reports that he didn't even meet with the rockets started the talks of perhaps him not liking playing with the team.

NBA Rumors: Trevor Ariza Rejected Meeting with Rockets in Free Agency
    SCOTT POLACEK
    DECEMBER 17, 2018

The Houston Rockets reportedly wanted Trevor Ariza back following four seasons with the team, but the swingman didn't even give them a meeting this past offseason.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Chris Paul and the Rockets wanted a sit-down meeting with Ariza following their loss in the 2018 Western Conference Finals in an effort to bring him back, but he signed with the Phoenix Suns instead.

Does he want a bear hug from the owner or something?

We spent the whole season using slogans like "Run it back". Then when we had a opportunity to "run it back" without Durant, we choke smh. But you know why we really lost to GS? Rebounding. What does Moreyball do the following season? He traded his starting center for a wing, just so we could get DESTROYED again on the boards by the Lakers in another disappointing ending. These are fireable offenses

He was forced to trade Capela when the owner muddled and force the trade for WB

So Moreyball was "forced" to make bad moves? Was he forced to do the good ones too?

The bad move was trading for WB who couldn't co-exist with Capela. Trading Capela was not a bad move.

Trading our only useful bigman for a wing was the epitome of stupid. We basically GAVE the Lakers the series before it even started. Trading for WB wasn't bad. The bad move is WB in a gimmick Moreyball offense

We lost 1 game without durant playing, it was not the series. I get the thought process, if you are going to bebout rebounded with capella then might as well get someone in that wilk atleast be better in the switch everything defense. I think it is unrealistic to say the experiment didn't work when it took place mid season and they had to encorporate a new system on the fly only to have the season shut down in the middle and then the restart saw your 2nd best player contract covid first and then a quad injury next.
