Yeah, I think A&M wins handily, but UT will be coming into form at the end of the month for the revenge game. I say both of these teams make it to the Elite 8.
A freshman at Reed (fans almost literally killing each other for tickets) against the best defense in basketball. Gonna be tough. A true test for Durant, and a great game inside the game for Big 12 player of the year (Law vs Durant).
wow...as much as i'd like to see it happen, i can't see UT as an Elite 8 team. but i soooo hope you're right!!!
I just think they'll start to click at some point being so young. I hate that I have to go out to watch this game tonight since 24 and Heroes are both on my DVR list.
Gig 'Em Ags!!! ... I say Ags win as long as Durant has < 20 rebounds I think Ags win by 8 and the crowd is going to be a big factor tonight. Durant gets 24 and 12.
GIG EM!!!! The State of Texas needs Texas A&M to win this game! Texas has a good team but A&M is the one that is "happening" now.
I'm not a huge Aggie fan, but you have to admit, they have one of the coolest courts you've ever seen. Love the Texas sillouhette.
Refs that call a tight game are not good fits for A&M's defense. I guess Barnes whining all week about the refs has got him somewhere. Its been called more or less evenly, but this style of officiating is not good for the Ags who are so physical.
I told myself within the first 5 minutes if Texas is within 6 at the half they'll win the game. A&M can't hang with Texas athletically and they're not going to keep shooting 67% from downtown.
My friends and I joke with each other about the size of the Texas symbol on each team's courts. Its like a giant weiner measuring contest. I propose that UH's next court be made entirely in the shape of the state of Texas.
Every touch foul is going to be called this game, and the Ags better adjust in the second half. FT shooting has been atrocious for the Ags. I've never seen a Freshman in college get the superstar treatment from the refs like Durant gets, but man I have to admit he deserves it. When you force the action and make the kind of plays he makes, he deserves the benefit of the doubt. I definitely hope this guy is in the NBA next year.
And there are still some people that would take Oden over him I'd say Durant is about as cant-miss as it gets
10 years ago I'd say Oden, but the new NBA rules make perimeter play a must have for any successful team. Both will be phenomenal NBA rules are built for a guy like Durant.
Aggies are awesome this year. They are a BIG TIME team. Good game so far, nice and close. Entertaining. ACIE down though. rolled his ankle.
