Feels like the lite version of the day we traded for harden. A lot of things can go wrong as far as Ty Lawsons, hamstrings, dirty refs, etc but key moves like these if they pan out can make up for a lot of other things going wrong
Great hire, I'm actually more excited about the prospect of Nate McMillan as an assistant than anything else
Skill ball is analytics, not small ball. Lakers rode this system to a championship. Rockets had no choice to play "short", not their 1st choice. Especially with financial cap constraints.
You're not getting rid of me that easily. But yes, AG and Bamba trade to Rockets would make me very happy.
If Morey was still here I think he would have hired JVG...JVG likely withrew after Morey turmoil. I guess the question is would you rather have Morey+JVG or Silas?... I am intrigued by Silas to see what he can do with this team..just hoping that our gm is good
Saves Tilman money for paying halftime weekend entertainment. Just have Skip dribbling the ball and wowing the crowd.
The Lakers had Size that banged the boards and protected the rim too. And they had Lebron, it wasn't just the numbers.
Thank you. And 3&D is basically saying we don't want PJ Tucker shooting mid-range jumpers like he might have in the 90s. The system clearly works. Yeah, it'd be nice If Dream or Yao walked through that door. Skill-ball...
Analytics leads to efficiency, but it constraints players too. Harden hammered a game winning long 2 over the Suns some time ago. Long twos are inefficient, but stars see what is going on the court. They have to be able to make adjustments. 3/ D wasn't just Morey I admit, MDA had a huge hand in it too.
Silas definitely better than Lucas as HC. Thanks God it's not Lucas. Not like there were many other choices, he might pan out. Hope for the best and cross fingers!
3-D was not just Morey/MDA but Lebron too as well as GSW, just saying this philosophy has been responsible for more championships in this decade than any other system.
