Lou loves the mid range too. Clips are not beating Rockets relying on the mid range, the least efficient shot.
I pray on everything he’s off the team after this season I can’t stand this dude get him outta here...I can’t believe how trash he is now all season I’ve been waiting and hoping for him to show up, but it’s just been more of his bonehead plays and horrific shooting please, show tf up in game 4 smh
I was livid that we gave him that big contract - knowing that he is injury prone, and would not be worth it over time, this was Chris Paul 4 year extension level of bad. Now we are stuck with a declining asset during Harden's prime. DD
This is true, you can go back and look at his month by month splits. Since his first year in Houston he's been a 30%-33% 3 point shooter for the majority of the season, except he'll have some weird 15-20 game stretch where he shoots almost 50%. End of season he will end up in the 37-38% range but that's misleading. The reason he looks so bad this year is because he didn't have his hot shooting streak, just normal low 30s Eric Gordon all year. Maybe this means he'll have his hot streak during the playoffs? Who knows. But we shouldn't act like this shooting is abnormal for Eric, this is the norm.
That's a little harsh, don't you think, DD? I mean, what team isn't looking for a volume 3-point specialist who can hit .317 during the season and .154 during the playoffs?
I've been saying that for the last 3 games. Crossing my fingers that you're right, but my optimism is waning.
What angel wasted a whole blessing on EG down in Utah giving him a 50 point game? U played yourself. this guy is an embarrassment
Probably nothing, expectations are at an alltime low. Basically take fewer and more efficient shots for his 20 pt games.
What’s more infuriating to me is the fact that MDA didn’t pull him from the game for McLemore who is consistently in north of 40% from three. 9 freakin’ minutes... that’s how long BM played tonight with EG stinking up the gym. This is starting to remind me of past playoffs where MDA doesn’t make any in-game adjustments. So frustrating!
in this series, the Rockets have a -3 net rating with Gordon on the court with him off the court, the Rockets have a whopping +23.6 net rating in 62 minutes MDA’s love affair with this scrub is killing us Idk what Eric Gordon has to do for Mike to stop playing him so much. I would much rather see Rivers or Mac out there. Eric Gordon is trash. Our offense goes from a 104 rating to 126! His stupidity on offense with his idiotic shots from 3 that he doesn’t even come close to hitting as well as his many pathetic drives and embarrassing turnovers crater our offense. He has been 1 of OKC’s best players. 1 of the main reasons I want Russ back is because I hope it will mean less Eric Gordon for the team’s sake, and for my own sanity. I hate this dude like no other. EG must have blackmail on MDA to be given this much rope while playing this garbage
I'm done with Eric. I know, I know: solid defense, good drives to the rim, blah, blah. But he's killing us with his horrendous shooting. A 3-point specialist hitting .186 from 3 in a playoff series is unacceptable. For comparison, Lu Dort is hitting .184. Yeah, EG has been THAT ugly. Even if he somehow catches fire tonight and carries us into round 2, I'll still have no confidence in him to continue. The worst part of all is that after this series, no GM in his right mind is going to want to trade for him. So just to shed that contract and open up some space, we'll have to part with another couple of draft picks.
man james harden really has no luck... his good teammates either get injured like cp3 or luc or become hot garbage like ty lawson, ego now and cp3 in 2019 i wonder if thats something that is pure bad luck or harden somehow influences it through his leadership or the lack of it
Eric Gordon should absolutely be traded this offseason, but if Morey parts with more draft picks to get Gordon’s contract off the team he should be fired. Trade Gordon for a comparable wing or big man that has a similarly horrible contract, but using the limited draft picks the Rockets have to salary dump Gordon’s contract would be an idiotic use of resources unless the Rockets want to blow it entirely up and trade both Harden and Westbrook. Simply removing Gordon’s contract isn’t going to get the Rockets enough cap space to be a player in free agency. All it does is get the Rockets further away from the luxury tax or reduce future salary obligations.
