Gordon is a better back than David Johnson. Costs less too. Would've been nice!

They don't have one elite skill player.

And your assumption is Watson is unhappy. Cryptic tweets means annoyance, not unhappiness. Again, you assume happiness is tied to Hopkins. It is not.

This is a reach. Too many emotional decisions by King Obrien. He's trying to clean up a mess he made with his personal BS.

It’s not really an assumption. It’s backed by everything he’s doing. Doesn’t matter what you actually label it

your assumption is everything is fine. It is not

and you now what? assumptions. insider over here alert

On one hand you have Watson doing numerous things. On the the other we have mr Scarface trying to tell people everything is fine based on absolutely nothing. Hmmm which one means a whole lot more.

Here’s a hint: certainly not the meaningless latter #LOL

What assumption are u making then? how come u are able to interpret the tweets in your way but others cant?

Facts are facts this trade is just another shtty BoB moving trying to compensate and try to appease gods know who for the sht hopkins trade.
He's still trying to find a hopkins replacement.

Blah, blah, blah....broken record. Find another team.....BoB is here for atleast 2 season.

Texans are not trying to replace Hopkins with one player. Committee approach on Offense is probably the change the Texans needed to improve it. I guess we will see.

One thing I agree with you is O’Brien being here for 2 years. Look at how the contracts signed are setup. Everything is structured to be able to get out of in 2 years. In 2 years, if O’Brien “mutually agrees to pay ways”, the new regime will have for now a full set of draft picks, and cap space from potential cuts. But who am I kidding, O’Brien will trade those picks for vets and sign Watson to $50m a year, Tunsil to $23m and overpay Cunningham.

That's the sign of a bad organization. Players support coaches all the time - those coaches often still rightfully get fired.

You're right, in a vacuum. And as tough as it would have been to see, because he's a great player, superstar WR's aren't needed to win championships, especially not at $20mill+/year. Problem is, O'brien is clearly out of his league, clueless, and directionless. Getting a mega package for Hopkins wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world, but BoB has zero concept of value, and along with other trades, he's unnecessarily ****ed up a team that had great pieces to build around.

That said, our offense should be rather good if Johnson isn't washed and our wr's stay healthy? Bizarre there wasn't more of a focus on defense in the offseason though.

    From the Texans view:
They traded Hopkins who wanted $20M+ per year for a really good 2nd round pick
They got a $10M RB and a WR who is a $15M WR that will only cost $8M

Lies. Obrien trying to spin this narrative. He should just have the balls to say I didn't like Hopkins so I got rid of him. It's not like he can be fired anyways.

A $10 million RB who couldn't start for Arizona. And wasn't better than Carlos Hyde. Hell you can make tge argument that the Texans STILL NEED A RB! $18million guaranteed to Randall Cobb ( age 30, injury prone, & 2 teams let him walk over the last 2 years) Has to be factored in as well. Now $8 million to guy who is building a significant concussion history. I don't see where they saved money. It's more BS from Billy Bob!

Is BoB for real though or is he doing like a... Trader Jorge thing? None of this can be real. Still feels like a troll job.

Love Lance, but there’s no way you’re getting Cooks for a 5th. I don’t believe that for a second.

Lol the Cooks deal really wasn't that bad like the Hopkins one. Hating Bill is one thing but sometimes hate can blind you from seeing each individual decision or situation for what it really is. It's still F Bill until proven otherwise though.
