He was good in February, but he’s been awful lately. And it’s more than “He needs a Pick and Roll Bigman”, because he was awful in January with Capela.
no you just expect that 40ppg is the norm for him when it it was normal for anyone to average that 31ppg on 46 percent shooting is great
actually i don't. there's no such thing as a player doing that over the course of a year. but i expect him to still be the efficient harden hes been through his career. regardless of how much scoring he does. this stretch since december has been the opposite of that.
You dont average nearly 40 pts a game for a couple of months and then all of the sudden drop like a rock. That's not how decline works lol. He is slower and cant jump as high. Watch his extension on his side-step or back-step 3s. Barely any separation compared to early on in the season. There is an injury. My issue is not the injury or the fact that he is not playing well. My issue with him and the Rockets is the handling of his injury and the situation. He should have shut it down much earlier and let it completely heal. If he wasnt going to do it then the Rockets coaches and management should have stepped in. This club, from the players, to the coaches, and management, put waaaay too much emphasis on regular season. Their priorities are messed up. Harden legit needed loaded management and him and the Rockets messed it up big time.
Does it ever occur to you that he's not 100% healthy? During the first couple months of the season he was balling out of control. All of a sudden, he's not able to buy a bucket. How could he be playing his best basketball for a couple months, flowed by the worst stretch of his career! I'm willing to bet that he's got some recurring injury that's been nagging him for some time now
Agreed you can also see it with the way they have handled Eric Gordon... We need a new coach and head athletic training get rid of Keith Jones
keep in mind it was also a short month. it was obviously much better than prior to the dec-jan stretch but hes back to square one now. but you could also say this is worse than that. he looks all out of it as does the team
Both James switch on the Playoff model button: LeBron James, towards the upper side (After all star); James Harden, towards the down side (a month ago);
These guys don't do their research. They also forget he's pretty much let Westbrook be our main ball handler.
