Just a friendly reminder that yesterday was the 53rd anniversary of the release of the Pet Sounds album. Considered by many (including myself) to be the best album ever made.
Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure The Kinks - Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part 1 Led Zeppelin - Presence Sparks - Kimono My House
Queen - News of the World Sweet - Desolation Boulevard Slade - Slayed David Bowie - Aladdin Sane The Stone Roses - self-titled Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Roger Taylor had a great hard rock voice. Always thought and still think Sheer Heart Attack should be played from track #2 onward, ignoring #1. Heart's Dreamboat Annie & Queen's Sheer Heart Attack are two albums that I used to listened to repeatedly during the same period and are intertwined in my memory.
Bringing out grunge baby! Pearl Jam - Ten Nirvana - Nevermind Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger Alice in Chains - Facelift
House of Love were a pretty awesome shoegaze group before it was even a thing. So many amazing bands in the 80s and 90s.
Stone Temple Pilots - Core Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff + Early Singles
Dinosaur Jr - You're Living All Over Me Yo La Tengo - I'm Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass It has been awhile since I have listened to that YLT album but not only does it have a great title for the album but it is a great, messy sprawling album.
their bassist's also got this title for his solo album, lol That Skinny Mother****er with the High Voice? (2001)
Lennie Tristano - Continuity Oscar Peterson - Blues Etude Tyshawn Sorey - Pillars James Brandon Lewis - Unruly Manifesto Dre Hocevar - Surface of Inscription Zack Clarke - Random Acts of Order Zack Clarke - Mesophase
