The team is dangerous without KD, that’s why they are ridiculous. We also seem just straight up snakebit in Oakland.. how can the former Rockets team out there in LA win 2 there, and we are what.. 1-12 over the last few years?

I’d really take back Sweet Lou, Bev, Harrell at this point. We sweep this series with those guys, and without CP3...

I assure you Donkey will not allow that team to have a let down just because KD is out.

I wish his ass had a calf strain.

Why should we dominate a team that's replacing Kevin Durant with Jonas Jerebko and Anthony Mckinnie? Seems pretty logical when we were playing them dead even while KD was playing.

They are probably harder to defend without KD.

With KD, you live with his shot making.

Without KD, they move the ball and personnel more and Klay and Steph are more likely to go off.

KD makes them better defensively but almost limits their offensive movement.

Our switching limits their offensive movement, not KD. KD happens to be the only guy they have who can really take advantage of it.

They had way and I mean way more depth then. There is no West or Speights off the bench with a prime Livingston and Iggy

This loss was HUGE. Do you understand we have now allowed the warriors to become underdogs ? This takes all the pressure off warriors and it’s now ALL on the rockets. They can just play free. We screwed this up big time

They have already played better than us without KD. We lost. They didn’t have Kd. So how can you assume we will dominate them?

For a single quarter. You realize they're gonna have to do it for a full game now, right?

Of course, and I like our chances better without KD. But to assume we should dominate? That’s where we differ.

That's the key to winning this series. The Rockets have absolutely no excuse in Game 6. That was always a must win regardless of how Game 5 turned out. So nothing changes other than it being a literal must win now that they're down 3-2. Even if the Warriors get off to a good start tomorrow night, they're gonna be worn out by the 2nd half because Green, Curry, and Thompson have to play such heavy minutes.

Game 7(assuming the Rockets take care of business and get there) is different. Oracle is a tough enough place to play that it could give the Warriors an emotional boost early on. The important thing is to get off to a good start and stop playing from behind. Every game in Oakland in this series thus far has seen the Rockets start off slow due to poor shooting in Game 1 and turnovers and poor rebounding in Games 2 and 5. So they're spotting Golden State double digit leads and having to claw their way back. If they can at least play the Warriors to a tie in the first quarter, they can outlast them as the game wears on thanks to their superior depth.

Uh yea. Without KD and Boogie Golden State went 73-9 and were one Green suspension away from a title that year. This team is quite potent if not more so as the splash brothers (pardon me while I gag) could go ape sh*t and hit every 3 in site to which we can do nothing to stop.

    Dominate? No.

The Rockets can win, but it will be a dogfight. The Warriors were a great team before they acquired Durant.

Sometimes teams and players rise up when a star player goes down. Harden carried the Rockets this regular season. The Warriors still have plenty of star players. This will be a battle to the end.

The 73-9 Warriors had a starting five of:

    Green
    Barnes
    Bogut
    Thompson
    Curry

    They had a bench with:

    Barbosa
    Iguodala
    Livingston
    Ezeli
    Speights
    Rush

That team was deep as hell. Plus players like Iggy, Livingston, and Bogut were younger and far more effective. And Barbosa gave them a spark off the bench none of their reserves currently do.

Not saying they won't still be a tough out these next two games. But with virtually no reliable bench players and only 2 effective scorers and playmakers left for Golden State, the Rockets can key in on Curry and Thompson in a way they never could've back in 2016 or with this version of the Warriors prior to Durant's injury.

They may be without KD but they still have Foster and Brothers in the lineup.
IMO keys to victory will be to now limit Klay and have CP3 show up.
A curry led worriers team will NOT defeat us!!!!
    We will take game 6!

The Rockets never do anything they “should” do. Haven’t we learned that by now?

We should push the pace in Game 6 and 7 and launch 50+ threes. We need to tire Steph and Klay out.

Even if Steph and Klay drop 40 points each, I don't thing Draymond + Looney + Iggy + Livingston can get another 40 combined.

If we can just score over 110 we should win these games fairly easily.

I’m not scared, Klay and Curry will have to play heavy minutes with no adequate bench players. Our role players need to hit shots at home. Chris Paul needs to wake the hell up. If not sit out. I think he got hurt in game 1 honestly and is on painkillers.

Let's be clear. We did not dominate them when they didn't have Durant two years ago.
