Yep, done for. Really hurts the Lakers too because they don't have a lot of quality big bodies...while I did not expect him to be any good this year he's probably better than what is left out there.
Damn, he should've taken that two year forty mil deal from the Pels. He's a minimum salary guy from here on til he retires. Sucks that toiled in mediocrity in Sacramento in his early prime and now he can't catch a break
Bad news yet better now than during the playoffs. Dude’s game was not about athleticism, wish him nothing but the best of luck from here on out.
Don’t really care to be honest, he’s made millions and let his ego get the best of him. Of course never cool to see a guy go down, but much more interesting to see what Lakers do now.
I am confused, is it a knee Injury or an ACL injury, can't be both right, there is no such thing as a knee ACL injury, did he reinjure his ACL, or it's a new knee injury, if he did re injure his ACL, he is definitely done. sad for him, best of luck
Why feel bad for him? He's going to make whatever money he gets from his contract this year, not playing a single minute for the Lakers. He's also made plenty of money throughout his career and could have made more had he not chosen to play for the teams he wanted to for the chance to win titles. Also this isn't nearly as detrimental as his Achilles tendon tear, it's not like Cousins bread and butter was defense anyways. He'll rehab and come back next season fine, I'd be surprised if he didn't come back with knee pads to protect himself next time. Good luck to him, I'm sure someone will offer him a contract next year. Heck I'm sure the Rockets would sign him if he showed any interest for a modest contract.
Quad injury was this previous post season, Achilles injury was 2017, and ACL is 2019. He'll be fine, someone will give him a contract to play somewhere. Are you a rehab specialist? Do you know the extent of his injuries? Everyone recovers differently, if he's not fully healed by the time 2020 starts that's unfortunate for him. He won't be back to his former Kings/Pelicans self but no one performs as well as they should while they age over the course of a competitive sports career. He might end up getting another injury solely from his body trying to compensate for movement in other places. I don't mind being wrong, because it's just another team that we don't have to worry about. A fully healthy Cousins/AD/James on the Lakers would have been interesting to deal with next season along with the Clippers. I also feel like you hold some sort of personal grudge over myself and my posts. Go rag on some one else for a change YOLO. If you want to quote my post, please include something more in depth then your super short responses. Then I might feel like we could have a discussion, otherwise it's just irritating.
Sucks for Cousins, but a possible blessing in disguise for the Lakers. Cousins' bad luck could force Davis and LeBron to play more center and power forward. A front court of Davis, LeBron, and Kuzma with a couple of snipers is trouble.
I think somebody mentioned it in the thread where he injured his quad, but a serious injury often causes your movement mechanics to change. Now I'm not quite old enough to have seen Ralph Sampson play, but I've heard that his back injury against the Celtics had a hand in all of his subsequent injuries (and his eventually shortened career). I'm wondering if Boogie needs to see a specialist in that area in order to prevent things like this from happening again. ACL injuries are thankfully less catastrophic than they were before, although still very serious--especially for a big man. I absolutely hate injuries...I wish him well in his recovery.
Ralph. Walton, Yao etc all career ended too early or just half of what they could have been if not for injury. Amazing. That Dwight Howard is still playing despite a serious candy addiction and a serious buttock tear injury. Lakers talk show now want Lakers to sign Dwight. Lol. I want this lol.Dwight and LeBron. I am open LeBron . Give me low post touchesss
