So you're saying since the beginning of time, year 0, the world had to wait 1999 years to witness the best posting generation of BBS history?

If the aliens invade our world, they would ask for the leaders and greatest humans to communicate with

    They would want the 99ers

    Who's your favorite 99er?
I know they are so worthy of praise and adulation

I would not use the term "praise and adulation", lest they become
demigods, but there is one 99er who I am rather fond of....he happens
to be really good friends with a beauty named Dorothy.........

We happen to share a special place in our memories for a certain
fellow named "Maxwell" who also transcended time and space...;)

When bambam hits 1500 posts a wormhole is going to open, and the aliens will come. Prepare.

A fellow member of the League of Justice and Righteousness of Clutchfans aka, the 99ers, posted a supremely good article about the Twin Towers

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=238862

I believe his purpose to instill pride in the Rockets fanbase and raise the standards to be higher than say... a few games in the regular season on another team or being a scoring champion in a weak conference

Nice!!... I remember when I was a member of such a Leauge except at that
time we were regarded as the "Enlightened Ones" aka "The Illuminati"....

Regarding the thread, it was a very nice read and I found myself reminiscing
about my youth when I first became a Rockets fan, not a Die-Hard fan like I
am now but a Rockets fan non the less! The reason I wasn't a Die-Hard at the
time was I was more interested in chasing girls and the Rockets were a distant
second but that changed once I found my lady!

The one thing that I found interesting was the assertion by Reid that the league
intentionally and deliberately went after Loyd and Wiggins to break up the team.
That's the first time that I've ever heard this. If this is true then what else
has the NBA done to get their teams to the Finals?

The league wanted Bird vs Magic, it brought in lots of ratings.

Wiggins' son will avenge his father when he comes to the league
