Pick up the towel and wipe my landscape off of your wife's forehead.

Yeah, it could go on and on and I would own you. Just stop. This is not the thread you were looking for.

I don't know how neglected these two are, as they have a bunch of fans, but they never were super popular or anything:

    Stephen Malkmus, Joanna Newsom.

Not neglected, maybe, certainly not by me, but some folks may not be familiar with the late, great Warren Zevon.

Have you seen the biopic, Greetings from Tim Buckley?

I really want to watch it but I may not get a chance with its limited release, unless I go bootleg. I hate when they make me do that.

I'm a big fan of Tim Buckley and his dad too. But I'm wondering if we're talking about songwriters or song interpreters, or both on this thread. In any case, I'll honor both Tim Buckley and Leonard Cohen. A great song and a great interpreter!

I don't know how I can watch the guy playing Buckley without a maccaron taste of Gossip Girl. :p

May I add Brant Bjork, the drummer for Kyuss, Desert Sessions, Fu Manchu, and help create Queens of the stone age "sound", all the music is written by him an recorded by him in this song.

After listening to a majority of the songs listed and reading swoly d repeated dumb ass post, Im left with the same impression... depression.

Not all "neglected" songwriters write songs that make me remember my dead Mom right?
Just saying, its not all doom and gloom.

Whether you like his music or not, there's no denying that Conor Oberst is one of the greatest songwriters of his generation.
