    I saw this:

That's cool if it isn't a big problem but do you use a Weber chimney or the performer's lighter by itself? Lump?

BGE is great but I'm glad you have a kettle as well because I doubt you will want to make charcoal cooked steak on the BGE. A kettle is just the better tool for that.

Just ordered mine and it will be delivered on Friday. So excited! Wonder how many briskets I will screw up before getting it right.

Just fired up me brand new BGE a few hours ago.

    1. Temp control on this thing is absolutely unbelievable. Can get it beyond 700 or below 250 with no problem. Can hold it there no problem as well.

    2. I can't believe how little charcoal its used up so far. I'm not cooking anything, just testing it out.

    3. No hot spots. Even heat throughout.

    Lovin it so far!

I did mine also. Spatchcocked and it was great.

I made gumbo on mine last weekend, roux and all in a Dutch oven. Turned out great.

Think I got mine from Ferguson on Richmond. BGE strictly controls the prices, so it won't vary that much in prices anywhere. $100 off the regular price is probably what you'll see at best.

Yes. Berings has 15% off coupons. Get one and use it.

I would recommend the Kamado Joe over the Egg, personally. I like the indirect heat split system better and it is a few hundred cheaper. They have them at a place on Shepherd/59.

I almost bought an egg but did a ton of research and went with the KJ instead.

Either way, welcome to ceramic grilling! Amazing for smoking
