[BREAKING] School Shooting in Conn. at Elementary School

I agree 100%. However, something must be figured out for quick exiting in case of a fire. I don't pick up my daughter from school much due to work but when I have I find it far to easy to gain access to the school. (She is in elementary school)

 

They posted that FB photo too, live on tv.

i think if i was a shooter, i would delete all my social media accounts before committing something like this. I'm sure that's what he did if he had any

 

Our very own Houston Chronicle website is still running the facebook pic of that guy who is leaving work right now and saying he's the shooter. Nice follow-up, guys. Way to stay on top of a story.

 

Yeah, i think just having any employee screen visitors before they actually enter the gate/door would go a long way.

If his mom was a teacher I doubt getting in to the school would have been much trouble anyway. Who wouldn't let a teacher's kid in?

It's just crazy when news sources are so eager to get more news out that they inadvertently pass along or creat mis-information because they are in too big of a hurry to check their damn facts!

 

So many lives ended before they got to experience life. So tragic.

 

These safeguards generally exist, but some schools are more stringent than others. If we were concerned about guns, we'd just as easily have a metal detector. Usually only one entrance is allowed during school hours. My son's school requires you enter the front by the office at all-times.

Stop it. We are trying to get the news as it is released, without wading through dozens and dozens are posts of a TIRESOME freaking argument that will never change anyone's mind. And we can still have that debate on this board, while also having an exclusive news thread at the same time.
