You can’t find that said anywhere. Also, who are you? Haven’t even talked to you, but you falsely remember something I said? Weirdo Rent free in some of you soft boys heads
A bunch of stats. He looked terrible the 1st three games of the season. Beatup on poor teams Balt/Tenn, was looking good against Denver but got concussed, then 4 games later came back against the Colts and looked avg, but lead his team to a win and that's all that really matters. I'm wanting to see how he does the rest of the year before they extend him (They will extend him regardless) and I wouldn't extend him at 5-300 regardless of how he does unless he can LEAD the team to an AFCCG. You spoke of concussions, taking a chance on a guy with CJ's concussion history also adds to the risk.
No, you trade him. My eyes and PFF numbers (If you like those kinds of site, I dont) over the past yr tell a different story. Add in the concussion history and there's no way I would re-sign him to 5-300 unless he can lead the team to an AFCCG. It's ok to agree to disagree, but I would be very risk adverse in this situation. The risk isn't worth the reward IMHO. But I'm not a CJ guy, although I'm for CJ starting the rest of the yr and changing my mind.
How has he looked against those defenses, because that's who he's going up against in the playoffs? I'm not negative CJ guy, I'm prove it CJ guy.
All true, I'll take Nico though. Do you think Darnold will ever win a SB? I dont and he's had a couple of really good statistical years the last couple of years.
It must be nice knowing he doesn't have to answer the challenges he throws out. It's like the woman who mouths off and then expects her boyfriend to back her up.
You think there are 15+ QBs in the league better than him right now? And that’s not even factoring in age etc. Alright, I guess. Yeah it’s fine to disagree but some of these anti CJ takes are beginning to feel completely non-objective.
Basically any top QB you can play this stupid little game. I’m not saying CJ is a top 5 QB or anything right now, but you could use this approach to dissect every single player in the league. The reality is that even the best players tend to stat pad a bit against the worst teams and don’t play as consistently well statistically against the best teams/worst matchups.
Stop trying to add nuance to the conversation. Basically anyone who isn’t Geno Smith, Justin Fields, or Max Brosmer is better than CJ Stroud, don’t you know?
Thanks for having an open mind. I'm factoring in how he's played the last year and a half and his concussion history. 6-300 for CJ is way to much even if he is a top 15 QB. That kind of money should be for top 5 QB's without injury/concussion history IMHO
I get what you’re saying about concussions but if the league has gotten so weak minded about concussions that this is where we’re at after 2 in 3 years, then it’s going to be basically impossible to evaluate any QB going forward. There’s just too many variables. Drake Maye gets another concussion and now he’s damaged goods too? I don’t think there’s realistically a single QB in the league that hasn’t had at least one, and likely multiple. Im quite certain Brett Favre had no less than 30 concussions in his career and he was aight. It makes me nervous too but ****… people are going to sustain head injuries when the play football. No amount of engineering is going to change that.
When you cherry pick 5 games including that game, there’s nothing to dissect. CJ has been extremely up and down, mostly down for the better part of two seasons.
Nuance isn’t straight homerism. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Stafford, Maye, Dak, Goff, Baker, Love, Hurts, Herbert and Darnold are all clearly better than CJ currently. That doesn’t mean I would take some of them over CJ besides the obvious young QBs.
True, has Maye gotten concussed? I would like to avoid a Tua situation. Concussions have affected his play on the field IMHO.
