Reed has great instincts, but I dont know how patient the Rockets front office will be with his growth since we acquired KD...where we are with our timeline, Reed is starting to look more like a tradeable asset and not a prospect on our team. We need to get Reed as many reps as possible to increase his trade value to get a more "true point guard".
You'd be surprised. Some 'fans' will root against their own player just so they can say "I'm Right!" on a message board. Seems silly to me. Now, nothing wrong with predicting a player to fail or bust and reacting to what is happening. I think many people get confused by that. If you see a player failing over and over again and you say it, that's simply reporting on reality. At the end of the day though. Reed just hasn't played enough for me to really know what he's capable of. I think offensively, there is a lot of potential there. Defensively? I see some red flags...but even still...some pure offensive PGs have pretty bad defense because of their size. There really is not much to do about it other than waiting and seeing what he has.
Multiple possessions in crunch time where he took 10-15 seconds just to dribble into the paint, pick up his dribble, and get trapped will attract criticism. His inability to pass over or around defenders because of his small stature could be a limitation he just can't get past. He was OK to start the game, but once the intensity of the game lifted down the stretch and into the overtimes, he looked like the same scared rookie that Ime sent to the G League last season.
A painted nails guy was getting criticized from the moment Cade Cunningham name was called by the commissioner.. Hmmm
I mean credit where credit is due: Clearly not AI-generated (unlike this post, but gd it I swear it's not) Succinct and makes a real point with a few supporting details Doesn't insult people who disagree Automatically better than most posts by certain people in the GARM And my jury is firmly out on Reed Sheppard, fyi
Yes, he needs work, only way to get it is to play through it. Gonna be a little bumpy until December ish. DD
well thats always the case with the draft at least Jalen had all the chances, starts, minutes, possesions, shots - 4 seasons and a 7 game playoff series to prove the critics wrong
When the guy had a bad game, all the haters come out of their lair and start threads to say, "I told you so!" When he had a good game, all the fanboys come out and start threads saying, "I told you so!" It's always like that for almost every player with a few exceptions.
How can anyone be a hater of a guy that is just getting started? I mean sure say he struggled or what he needs to do but hate, already? Our fan base could **** up a wet dream. DD
Oh, and I did not tell you so! Spoiler He is a fun player ....not great as Amen for example but still fun to watch on Offense. Just need a firm role here.
