Jock Landale Appreciation Thread

With FVV signing at 25mil per year, the Rockets would only have to decline team option on A Holiday’s contract to get a full 14 mil MLE. I have a hard time believing that they would cut Landale now, which would mean that they are giving up hope to trade for Giannis. Landale contract will be crucial in the salary matching.

 

A primo third center and will be a good backup for someone.

 

It may be smart to break that MLE up into a few smaller contracts.

Keep Holiday - cut Landale and Jeenathan, and see if there is a shot blocking big around for a 3rd string center or a 3rd string emergency PG....and hit go.

So it’s after midnight on the east coast. Are we picking up Landale’s contract or not? Seems like this potentially has implications for a Cam trade as well.

 

Can he be traded as soon as his contract is engaged or is there a period like with FA's where they can't be traded for 6 months or whatever?
