Well my dick is big enough to drive one with confidence, so it is an option, for me. Though I'm pretty sure they discontinued the 7 seater, so not big enough for my family anymore. Mini van life for me right now. Might switch to a Volvo 90 series in the future. I'll make sure it's a plug in.
My buddy bought a Jaguar when he was getting close to 50. We both laughed...we knew it was the definitive sign of entering midlife crisis. Needless to say, it has been all downhill from there.
It's Jaguar selling perfume now? Honestly didn't even realize the company was still around. I consider it an old person's car.
I don't get why that's woke.... But it's a terrible marketing rebrand. Be provocative? yes. Be confusing and completely non-sequitur to everything you've built? no.
If androgynous art is now woke, god help us. Pretty soon a woman won't be able to have short hair without being called woke. Actually I just read an article about their strategy - it makes more sense now. They are knowingly dumping their base - knowing that they will lose their past buyers and loyal customers. In that case...and if you are going for rich artsy folks who probably aren't anti-woke, then yeah, it could work. They aren't just trying to break away from the past, they are trying to differentiate against Tesla. Will it work? I don't know. I haven't seen the car which is a big part of it. If the car is dope, than all this controversy may actually help sales. They may be trolling the anti-woke crowd here a bit. But if the car is not dope, they are dead regardless. So why the f not be provocative and make people talk about you. Tesla went from the woke brand to the anti-woke brand. So it makes sense that they would do something that you'd call woke. But like I said, it's telling that what once what was just considered artsy-fartsy is now evil wokeness.
They were already struggling. This is a hail mary. Don't think they're losing sleep over this. They probably are going t1ts up regardless.
10 years ago this would have been posted in the hangout section and everyone would chuckle at the rebrand because it is kinda ridiculous. But the right has made everything into a political culture war. And now everything is political.
I don’t get it. All I see is some weird euro fashion. Does this mean they’re no longer pieces of ****?
Nope. They're still pieces of **** regardless of the branding. My wife liked the looks of the F-Pace. I told her she would never get to drive it. It would be in the shop all the time.
I remember watching Mad Men. There is a whole season dedicated basically to acquiring the contract for advertising of Jaguar. The head dude at the firm had a Jaguar. It was always broken down. Much like a certain football team with the same name.
The woke guy who did this is American. I don't see "Euro fashion". I see some weird version of teletubbies!
