    I’m not going to state whether Abreu/Maldonado decided to hit Garcia or not. What I am going to say is that was a pivotal game 5 of the ALCS and neither the ump’s nor MLB should be inserting themselves into the result, period. Never mind that the home plate ump has been like Stevie Wonder calling balls and strikes the last (2) games. If this was football or basketball, the expectation situationally would be “swallow the whistle”. This crew did the exact opposite and it looks like MLB “at best” doubled down to support their crew, but “at worst”………..
