As stated earlier that’s not nearly enough to match the supply and demand curve regarding both those who want to come in and those who are willing to hire them. Also as another poster noted the long term trend for this country is a decline in the native born population. We’ve see that take a toll on other countries. The avg backlog is ~5 years. The solution to this isn’t hard - more funding to reduce immigration processing (judges, officials, facilities, …). Republican keeps pointing out the problems that have lasted for decade but won’t support any solution.

If you are an assylm and you want to seek refugee DHS has created an app and application where you have to apply legally. They've opened up processing centers in Mexico, Colombia, and in Panama. 2. You go on this app or center and you give the us government all your information. They background check you and run your information to see if you're qualified and clean enough to come into the nation. 3. Once the US government runs your information and you're good they give you a date and a place to go and they will bring you into the country legally at a processing center. 4. This was done to get rid of any border surges. If you want to seek assylm now under bidens new rule YOU HAVE TO APPLY ON THE APP. There are no exceptions. If you do not apply on the app or at a processing center you will be deported right away under the new rule. 5. If you have been caught trying enter the country without an approval status then you will be thrown in jail now if its more than once. This criminlization never occured before any other POTUS. 6. The issue is smugglers and cartels brainwash migrants into telling them theres safe passage nd pocket the money when in reality there is no way across the border. 7. the cartels and smugglers show them right wing videos that you spew to tell them how the border is open so they can scam them. They're not sabotaging but actively fear mongering and spreading disinformation. The problem is millions claiming "asylum" and being immediately allowed entry, even before the dubious claims are adjudicated. The fact that it's been streamlined with an app is worse, not better. You're applauding that the invasion has been automated by our own government.
