    Kurt Cobain was a big Shonen Knife fan. Maybe not that great, but probably the closest thing to a genuine Japanese contender.

    The opened up for Nirvana on In Utero tour. The Breeders batted second.

    i was there! i liked nirvana, but the only reason i went to that show was because i was a huge breeders fan.

    If it's ever possible to see the Pretenders, ever, I hope yall advertise it.

    I totally know they're not a 90's band, but I just heard a back to back of their classics, and I absolutely love Chrissy Hynde.

    i almost left after the breeders b/c it was a school night and i had a paper due the next day. i would have been f***ing kicking myself for the rest of my life. and nirvana was fantastic. i was really impressed with their live show.

    i think an argument could be made for that being one of the top 10 defining songs of the decade. i havent listened to last splash in a long time. i need to revisit. if i listen to the breeders its usually 'pod'. i love that album from start to finish. and the safari EP. great one too.

    the bassist is british so im allowing myself to post this video in this thread.
