KPJ: Can someone explain to me why he has become Clutchfans favorite whipping boy?

KPJ fans were never interested in efficiency in any sort. It was the rest of the crowd who reminded them, that doesn't mean anything unless he increases his efficiency. Their claims were purely on raw numbers regardless of how they are achieved, pushing the narrative that he had the worst teammates in the nba, playing against always the best players, just started playing pg and other bs. Just a week ago, they were still claiming he could not move the ball because nobody is moving .

 

So satisfying seeing the meltdowns KPJ fanbois are having.

 

Why is it satisfying? From Lin & Harden to Jalen Green/Sengun/KPJ hating on players. Lame as hell

You are chasing the wrong argument here. My point was that y'all (KPJ Stans) can't cry about having "lofty standards" when those standards were being peddled by y'all to begin with. "So now 20/7/7 is the barometer" again... not my numbers, but the one being shouted at me and others. There were actually even more delusional numbers being kicked around, but no point talking about those. Don't whine about a standards you guys created yourselves on this BBS now that KPJ has failed to live up them.

I agree with you that we need a superstar and strongly believe we should be going all in with Green. He has shown clear ability to be a reliable volume scorer with good efficiency as well as substantial improvement in reading and attacking the defense. He is quite literally the closest thing we have to that "generational talent" IMO. Silas should be pivoting towards creating a two man game between him and Segun with KPJ and Eason as our roamers.

 

How is it BS when it has happened in both teams he has been on, as recently as last season even? Sorry, you might want it to be untrue but it is very much true. Less than a season of "good behavior" doesn't make a changed man. Old habits die hard, if at all.

 

It's not satisfying. It's stupid and frustrating. We have a team full of promising rookies and sophomores, yet we hand the keys over to one of the least intelligent players on the team who is historically also our least responsible and trot him out game after game as the focus of our offense. I am angry, not happy.

What are you talking about? If 20/7/7 was the imaginary standard the guy is RIGHT THERE!! The issue was with the "accounting stats" and that everyone wanted an efficient player right? You responded to my post quoting someone else who shifted reality into an unobtainable 62% TS high volume scorer who also dishes out 9 assists per game. How many of those exist in the entire NBA right now? No sht we could use one of those guys who couldnt is my point.

Jalen Green is awesome. He still has a long way to go particularly in his leadership role and how he commands a game. Generational players will not defer to inefficient chuckers.

Bless your heart! You still think Stephen Silas is going to be able to change his career philosophy to extract the most from these players. The biggest mistake this fanbase made was not hitching their wagons to a certain player, but in establishing unrealistic expectations while this team is openly tanking for another top pick. Its really flagrant when you see the sub patterns, PT allotment, and game theory that runs counter intuitive to competing. Dont expect much to change, so what we are left with will be the ping pong match of petty in between games - SWEET!

 

All summer i was saying how we would be terrible while plenty of people here were saying 30, 35, even a few crazies talking about 40 wins/playoffs.....
