Whatever the pick is we should trade it for Westbrook, this is exactly what we need to do...

#2 pick and draft Jabari. Okc lands #1 and drafts Chet.

If we get 2, don't have to make a big decision.
it's either chet or jabari whoever is available, right?

Why would we trade out? There's several incredibly high potential players there which would be on a team friendly deal for at least 8 years. A Keegan Murray or Mathurin can easily develop into the 3rd best player on a title team at an affordable price. You can totally find a Bosh, Jrue, Klay, Draymond, Horford, etc over there. You can totally get great value in trade for a well-developed #5 pick.

With the quantity of picks and assets we have, we don't need to be desperate. We've been relatively good at developing young guys under Silas and Lucas, I think we should maximize our gains there. So many good players to be had even around #8.

I'm not saying we go full blown Spurs and just develop anyone and anything with no regard for potential, but come on the difference between #1 and #6 is not that huge in terms of the likelihood of getting an All Star or better player. In fact I think #2 is the least likely pick to get a star and we NAILED it with Jalen last year, so stop worrying so much.

The Nets will eventually gift us a top 3 pick and it will be right in the middle of us having a great core and making a playoff run. We'll be better than expected next season with 4 above average to great sophomores, a historically rare occurrence which is going to trigger a Rockets dynasty in my opinion.

Also: we are going to draft a bust eventually, please don't freak out when it happens. It's unavoidable that with this many attempts you will flop on a certain %. No, you wouldn't nail every pick if you were drafting. Yes, the front office has earned a bit of trust with the overall performance on 4 draft picks last summer.

It's going to be a huge summer for this franchise, so exciting.

5, I think Sharpe jumps Ivey or a big in the draft and we get whoever falls. A #1 seed has to fall to 5 eventually and it’s going to be this year.

I can GUARANTEE that we will get either pick #1 or number #2. And if not those we'd definitely end up with either #3, #4, or #5. QUOTE me on this. I am definitely correct.

It’s all rigged, the question is whether it’s rigged for or against us :)

I ran Tankathon twice today. I got the 3rd pick the first time and the 1st pick the second time.

    Ran tankathon 10 times.

    Picked 5th - 8 times
    Picked 3rd - 1 time
    Picked 1st - 1 time

We’re picking 2nd in the real thing.

Ran it another 20 times. Apparently tankathon has us at an 80% chance at number 5. The pistons must be at 0%.

I do like the kids that come from NBA families the most, they seem to find a lot of succuss down the line.

i went with #3 cause then it turns all the Chet v Paolo v Jabari talk into nothing - we get what we get... while also adding a tiny bit of intrigue as to whether they will try and trade up or prefer Ivey at 3.
