Obviously she's not the best we could nominate for the SCOTUS role, but it's basically a lateral move from the retiring Breyer -- who was a lunatic fringe liberal. Most of Ketanji Brown Jackson's views are identical to the policies that have ruined most major urban centers in America. Rewarding this flawed thinking with a SCOTUS role is not very smart. But the American liberal wraps he/her/ze-self in the politics of racial identities... and is incapable of discussing the topic without resorting to the basest level of emotionalism.

How deeply concerned is she? That said I was expecting that Brown might get some Republican votes. I think there are Republicans that want to be part of history as voting for the first black woman on the court and overall I don't think her nomination was controversial. The circus in the Judiciary committee was always going to happen as that is more the norm for high profile hearings these days and even Republican members acknowledged that much of it was just for playing for cable news and twitter.
