Or, and hear me out here ... we could throw a hissy fit, panic, and trade them both at rock bottom. Then we can scream and cry about how they are too moody and temperamental.
Neither is part of the longterm plans. They should both be traded at the deadline or in the offseason.
No. 1. Find whoever leaked this to Shams, and remove them from the Rockets organization. 2. Whether it was true or not, they just tanked Wood's trade value, so can't trade him now. 3. Play KPJ at SF/SG where he belongs and try to find a true PG somewhere.
I need to understand why coach told kpj he was not going to play 2nd half? Because he was the 2nd best player in the 1st half.
I have been defending Wood up until now. This incident changed my view. If the dude can't even handle a team rule on protocol and take it personally, then I don't want him on the team. The crappy thing is that this is significantly lowering his trade value. I think losing does have a negative effect on players. That's why I am not fond of tanking. But it gets to the weak-minded faster. Maybe it's necessary to weed them out.
Trade Silas, Wood. Keep KPJ. This tantrum incident should be celebrated as a good thing. It should speed up the process of what we all already want.
Man I would love to see Mario Elie take over this locker room Keep Lucas and add Sam Cassell as top assistant Let one of these kids try and pop off or buck up to that trio of old-school hardasses and see what happens
