Nwaba has been a defensive specialist his entire career - it's practically the only thing he does well and the only reason why he's in the league still. Makes the right rotations etc. But sometimes you guard LeBron James on a corner 3 and he drills it in your face. As far as i can tell the Nwaba-Augustin- Brooks lineup was on the court for about 3 minutes in the first/second (went from 32-32 to a 43-42 lead)... this is what you noticed as a huge line up blunder?
If the young guys are good enough to win they should play. We might not geet another star form that draft but it looks like we already have two future stars now.
Not going to figure out optimal lineups in the first 7 games of the season ESPECIALLY with a young inexperienced team like ours. Give it time and things will shake out.
I understand them trying to play Theis and the rest of the vets more. They want to up their trade value so that they can get a good return for them. I would support the coaching staff fully if those vets actually produced. And no, it's not about the stats. It's about their play, which isn't good right now. To be clear, I'm not expecting this team to play like a well oiled machine, and get wins. That is not reasonable right now. But I expect them to play like last night, to fight and be entertaining, and I expect the vets to at least not be lost on offense and defense.
I didn't watch the game but judging by the play by play info, was it: Augustin Gordon Martin Nwaba Sengun ? If so....I guess Silas likes his substitutions to come in bunches?
Yep, doesnt like to stagger his starters for some reason. And for GAWD'S sake play our best 3ball shooter when behind or stepping on other teams neck.

Good stuff! Now we know why Green gets so many hand offs, he is the best of the rooks at it. And Sengun being the best roller is a bit surprising considering all the complaints about his finishing. But was most surprised that Mobley has been a monster in transition and as a cutter. And Cade is clearly the best spot up shooter. All of them sucked as ball handler in PnR and in ISO.
Thank you D. Yes I was surprised not to see Mobley and Barnes used more in those facilitator"Play Types;" but they are getting it done elsewhere as cutters, transition and/or spot up. Surprises me that Suggs has been the only Isolation guy and Sengun the only Post Up guy. I figured Scottie Barnes and Mobley would get more touches in Post Up. Edited: Cunningham the "Best" Spot Up shooter?...... are you mocking him? sarcasm? Did you mean, Green? I noted frequency....that's not FG%...LoL.

and dont even get me started on mathew garrison he should be starting on this team and silas made us forget this guy even exists
Those are the types of screens I want. Get caught every once in a while extending those elbows. Every other teams gets away with it.... constantly.
Not sure about starting, but his and Snipa's 3ball should be part of the rotation. A 5 out offense without any deadeyes from 3 makes little sense.
