@adoo PINS gone down the gutter since the acquisition got called, off where do you see it bottoming?

 

there was a doji yesterday; it is also near the 62% retracement level. RSI is 33

in view of these indicators/signals, it's safe to say that we're close to the bottom

again, let me remind you, im just an amateur

 

nflx had an impressive ERS last wk, the price has risen steadily on declining volume,
think that it is poised for a pullback, sent a scouting mission (sell a 10-pt bearish CALL spread) to test the water

• bto 690 strike CALL, sto 680 strike CALL, for a credit of $4.5, defining my max risk to be $5.5

 

indeed

made new plays on MSFT, whose X-Div date is late wk of Nov, using 11-12- expiration

• a risk reversal w a bias to the upside
  • bto 330 CALL, sto 330 PUT for a credit of $1.82
• a bullish CALL spread
  • bto 330 CALL, sto 335 Call, net cost of $1.9

i think pypl down in reaction to V? For payments i got into DLO recently i think worth a DD; very excited for this. If expensive = quality, then this must be great 195 p/e haha.

 

Added some. Down over BTIG analyst downgrade, but the best CRWD analyst (at predicting earnings) i've seen (needham's Alex) just gave it a buy 19 days ago.

 

crwd has been volatile for me.

so i only play way OTM cover calls credit spreads (pretty much risk free) and credit spreads which enable me to collect a premium in advance and to define my max risk.

immediately after i had sold an april 320 cover call 1.5 wk ago, i placed this order

to close the 320 CALL, and sell to open a Jun 340 CALL

this order ( a scouting mission) just got filled,

which tells me people just want to bet on CRWD, even on a down day

they're hoping the CRWD will break thru the upper channel on 6th try

btw, quietly, APPS is on its 7th attempt trying to break thru the upper trading channel

 

APPS earnings is tmr. Excited yet nervous at the same time ha.

Your guess is as good as mine. My take on earnings here. If you holding a lot may be a good idea to trim or sell covered calls on some of the position. I'm happy with my current sizing just holding shares; hopefully it go up...

 

1.5 wk ago, when APPS was ~ 88, made this risk reversal play (w a bias to the up side)

• bto Nov 19 93 CALL, sto Nov 19 88 PUT for a net premium of 35 cents

earlier today when APPS was 93, i buy back the short leg and sold a 93 strike CALL to morph it into a bullish CALL spread, while collect a net premium of ~$1.3.



effectively, after netting a premium of ~ $1,65, i have this bullish nov 19 CALL spread working

long 90 CALL, short 93 CALL, which could yield a max profit of $3​

in its 4 Nov ERs, PINS hints that it'd consider a merger talk ?​

 

haha pretty sure it would boom *if* they did; but i have no insight on that. Unless its a special situ like MVIS, i think it's quite unlikely that a big company would talk about it?

Sold 2 naked Nov puts at the open $45 strike for $3 to add to my shares.

• to a level between 621 (38% retracement) and 609 (the high for Sept)

Looks like another small, strategic acquisition. Now that they are earnings positive they are consolidating the industry.

 

@PWR swing trade? Looks like it has some real RF technology and a fundamental case to be made. Positive outlook in ytd's earnings + announcement of new customer win.


Started position in HIMX. looks simply undervalued (i think over taiwan-china tensions?), and bouncing of the $10 support.

 

GLBE lock-up expiring next monday. Hot ipo which SHOP invested in. Not going to try shorting it, but if it tumbles could be a nice entry for a long HODL position.

A company that i'm looking to go long puts on closer to earnings is PATH. Expecting a weak earnings. Hopefully it runs up on ark hype before that.
