Even though, I was born in America, my parents made it a mission to educate me in our language, taught me our history with the communist so that I can pass it on to my children and their children. Sorry try again. My embarrassment stems, again, from the fact that you prop up your Vietnamese heritage as if it's supposed to make you a subject matter expert on what's going on in Afghanistan right now. What's more incredulous is that you didn't even live through the fall of Saigon because you said it yourself that you were born in America which means whatever anger or hostility you have is second-hand, at best, passed down by the stories/history that your family told you. And before you ask, yes, my family has the same tragic stories and the pathway that led my family from Vietnam to here is just as horrific as the next Vietnamese family. All that being said, I was born in America and my life and how I grew up is a reflection of being born in America--while I empathize and feel sadness for what my family had to go through I'm not going to let that shape who I grow up to be. As for whether or not I can speak "our mother tongue", you can jump to conclusions all day long because I, too, am fluent in Vietnamese. For a guy that goes by a moniker that translates to John the Baptist (yes, I am Catholic) you sure love to call everyone an ******* any chance you get.

You just proved my point like I’ve said earlier, many of our people the young ones that either were born here or came early as children are being actively brainwashed by the left. You are a prime example of the indoctrination going on in this country. I have countless examples of the young Vietnamese that have no clues about their heritage and the reason why they are here in America. Do you know why your parents are here in America? And do you know what happened to us and our history? My mother was 2 months pregnant when the Fall of Saigon happened and I was born in the refugee camp in Ft Chaffee. You were right that I did not experience the horrific brutality of the VCs directly but my uncle, my oldest brother, my father-in-law were back there languishing in their concentration camps. Growing up, we worked our fingers to the bones to save up every penny to send back to them and their families to keep them alive. So yeah, it does effect me directly in a way. My uncle did not make it, he died the second year in their gulags from tortures and starvation. My oldest brother and my father- in law were able to join us later in the 90s but died shortly due to the multiple injuries and illnesses they’ve suffered in these prisons. You sound like a young fellow so I know that you are ill informed. I’m willing to guide you to the truth about the left and what really happened to our people. I don’t believe you are fluent in Vietnamese so let’s talk in Vietnamese and prove me wrong. I was baptized as a Catholic but I no longer am. Too many liberals in the Catholic Church and the current Pope is the proof. When you’re ready , let me know I don’t know whether you’ve read my previous posts but growing up, I’ve faced with a lot discrimination for being a Vietnamese, a yellow man so I vow not to let anyone disrespect me online or in person. Maybe, you have a different experience growing up because you are younger than me and things have improved, if that’s the case, good for you. I do not let what happened to me and my family shaped my American experience. In fact, I love America more than life itself and willingly die to protect this country. I have enlisted in the military for that reason. America is a land truly blessed by The Almighty with many great , kind, moral and courageous people. But the people like the left, the American Marxists, the traitors and the current POS buffoon in charge , they’re the ones actively destroying America. I hope that I can open your eyes to that fact.
