I’m not young and wrestling has never been my thing. I’ve never actually watched a wrestling match per the phonies. Hulk Hogan battling Rocky in Rocky III is as close as I’ve gotten. LOL

He's still on pace to earn his salary this year which isn't much and doing better than the most popular alternative mentioned in the offseason, Avila.

I think having a clear, defined role does wonders for most relievers.

10 games in, not counting today I'm assuming...

    Diaz since coming off the DL: .295 .311 .568 .879 (45 PA)

    Altuve, same timeframe: .298 .327 .468 .795 (49 PA)

It certainly does… but Stanek had been showing some more consistency and as of last week, Dusty was able to use him to close when Graveman faced the heart of the order in the 8th.

best thing about all the new acquisitions is that it can avoid overusing some of these guys which was a big problem earlier in the year (fatigue/availability).

Pitchers are divas by nature typically and routine helps them. That said, Stanek's problems in late May and June look like fatigue/tired as he had a defined role at that point. It could have also been his mechanics got out of whack for no reason.
