Someone said the Skeet Skeet Skeets should change their name to the Sugar Land Imperials. I agree, that sounds like a really cool name and is appropriate to the area.
It's been a while since I've lived in Houston, but how is Strom going to hit the traffic to make that anything less than an hour drive?

Ahhhhh...I didn't take that into account. Is there any flat land out in Fort Bend? He could always schedule the minor league workouts for 1-4am.

The Sugar Land Airport is actually right across the street (hwy 6) from the stadium. As an aside, it's all flat land in Fort Bend!
Back when they formed the team, one of the possible names was the Sugar Land King Canes. That would have been my choice. I'm really stoked about this. I always attend a few Skeeters game each year. It's a nice, relaxing ballpark to enjoy a game. And now having the Astros AAA squad in my backyard, it's even more of an incentive to go.
Been to a couple of corporate events at suites at that ballpark...and went to a game with family the first season. Nice ballpark with good amenities, that I'm certain the Astros will improve. I'm really excited about this. Can't wait till they come out with the Skeeters '47 Brand caps
