It spread in 2019 with supposedly high levels of virulence, and it's a travel hub... How didn't it spread all around China?

I mean there are more than 100s lesser known names, if you exclude those that failed during Phase 3, you would sit on at least 10 drugs.

There is only so much they can do.

I bet they can't account for those that died in October, November and possibly December.

As I emphasized earlier Wuhan is only the tenth or eleventh known city there, fairly unknown and inconspicuous internationally.

Also local municipal government was even less competent than overall CCP.

It did spread all over China, according to their data. If the data is accurate, the logical explanation (of why it didn't spread more) is the outbreak was small in Dec and even in early Jan prior to lunar NY and the complete isolation of Wuhan.

From what i understand, china cut off domestic travel to and from wuhan but allowed international travel from wuhan.

Might be true that they screwed up the logistics, allowed international travel to run its course for days or weeks.

Do you have a link for that?

I seriously doubt that domestic travels were restricted before the official lockdown. Millions of people travel domestically by train and plane in China. If the government had paused domestic service, there is no way it could've been kept quiet. It just doesn't pass the smell test to me.

I know of Chinese people who had their flights to the US cancelled at the time. I know that's just anecdotal. But think about it this way: Typically governments can control domestic travel and incoming travel more easily than telling international carriers what to do anyway. The US currently has the worst outbreak on planet earth, but has our government shut down outbound international travel? I don't think it has. So, are we intentionally exporting the virus?

Anyway, we need more detailed reporting before we accept the idea that China intentionally exported this pandemic while trying to control it internally.

A blow to global business really hurts China badly. There isn't really a logical model where someone launches this thing intentionally, unless you picture someone like the joker.

And again, the scientific evidence (if any of us care), feels pretty solid that this virus is as natural as most any virus that bothers humanity. If you look directly at the genetics, it looks like bat -> pangolin -> human.

    Cheers.

We also do know the US and other nations have to charter their own flights to get their citizen out. But anyhow, now that we know the source is from an extreme right bias blog, I think it not worth consideration.

    editing my D&D type response.

I hope our pols spend more resources and time building up testing and contact tracing than they do spouting off about China.

I agree... but to avoid this thread from getting to D&D territory, I'll stop going further. However, I will continue to point out clear bias when I do see it.
