Your scenario assumes that the entire game will be played on one end of the court. Now flip all those matchups around, now AD and Kuzma are guarding Harden and Gordon. On the perimeter. Easy dunk from cousins or post up from AD is worth 2 points. Step back 3 is worth 3 points. Do the math.

Bradley is going to need to start because point guards will eviscerate LeBron if he tries to defend them.

    1. Positions are determined by defensive assignments.

    2. It would be real news if LeBron moved to power forward.

Yeah let him run point for 80 games a season at 35 years

Watch him wear out come playoff time. perfect for the Rockets

Yeah this late in his career, this level of wear and tear will be an injury waiting to happen,

What are you even talking about? Lakers will never put AD on Harden.

It will either be LeBron or Kuzma and Harden tends to struggle against tall athletic wings. Meanwhile, Davis will be in the paint waiting to block Harden's layups and floaters like Gobert did in the Utah series.

Lakers are not a good matchup for Harden and Gordon for the same reason Iggy, Thompson, and Durant were good at defending our guards.

LOL. Not with any remotely as talented as LeBron and Davis.

Igoudala, Thompson, and Durant are all plus defenders while LeBron rests on defense, Green is average, and Kuzma hasn't proven himself at that end.

seems pretty gimmicky. offensively he's always been a PG, but he's also always had a quicker traditional PG to guard opposing guards.

Green is well above average defensively.

And you’re only half right about Lebron resting on defense. He does that plenty...in the regular season. He can still turn it on in the playoffs, just can’t do it for 82 games at this point. I assume it’s not regular season matchups you’re concerned about.

LeBron will lead the league in offensive fouls... Theses point guards know how to move their feet and most importantly flop..... Silver gonna change the rules on flopping quick..lol

The last time I remember him playing good defense was in the 2016 Finals. It isn't even about will anymore. He just can't even if he wanted to.

Even if I granted you that point, that he is still capable, I still don't see how he, Kuzma, and Green are anywhere near the defenders that Durant, Thompson, and Igoudala were.

If not the rockets I wanna see lakers beat clippers. Can’t stand the hypocrisy surrounding the nba new golden child Kawhi Leonard. Dude is the luckiest of all time and a pippen type player AT BEST.

    He’s scum.

"PGs" that played with LeBron before Kyrie:

    Eric Snow
    Boobie Gibson
    Mo Williams
    Mario Chalmers
    Noris Cole
    Carlos Arroyo
    Old ass Mike Bibby

LeBron has been the de facto Point Guard his entire career. Even with Kyrie, LeBron was often the primary ball handler. They'll still need to start someone to matchup with most PGs and the lineup won't look all that unconventional. The NBA has gone pretty much position-less. They're only used for defensive match-ups (you're only a 3 if you guard a 3, 2 if you guard 2's etc.)

    They're starters, IMO, will be:
    Bradley
    Green
    LeBron
    Kuzma
    AD

As a fan of Lebron, I just dont think its possible. He can't be great on both ends at this age. Jordan won his last championship at 33, Kobe at 31, and Lebron will be 35 this coming season having skipped college and has been putting on NBA miles for 17 years. He will score buckets, but him being a tall PG wont matter. He has not spent as much time this summer in a cryogenic chamber. He has been filming Space Jam 2. At this stage i think he is after the longevity related major statistical records. I think AD will realize he had some solid pieces around him in New Orleans, as well as decent coaches. Just seems like a random mishmosh of players and Frank Vogel. Under 51.5 wins for Lakers this year.

I can respect all of those points. Good post.
