Since you edited your response. That's the thing, white voters who are were either independents or blue dogs in the Midwest voted differently in 2016. What mattered most in this election is where the votes came from geographically.

Yep, in this silly electoral college, location matters. My democrat vote in Texas means far less than if I lived in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, or Wisconsin.
