On the pff stats, those lack context. It's hard to know what to make of them. Keep in mind that Hoyer had bad numbers before last year and bob had an idea of how to get something out of him. If bob thinks osweiler has more in there than I trust him and hope it works out. Osweiler has a rocket for an arm. Perhaps his stats were bad because he was taking too many deep shots in an offense not designed for it?

This move will make or break BoB and Rick Smith. I didn't see anything special out of Brock last year, but I hope I am wrong. All I know is that this year will be Playoffs or bust, and McNair is expecting to contend for Super Bowls after opening his checkbook today.

I hated the Fitzpatrick signing, I came to like him by the end of his time here to the point I hated to see him go. I hated Hoyer, partially because I thought Fitz was better and mostly of how his previous season ended. I hated Mallet because he hadn't done anything. I've resolved not to hate or complain about Brock. At least not yet. Partially because there weren't much better options and he might actually be good. And I hope he is good. I like the potential and the better he is, the better the Texans are. Plus I don't want to be the annoying guy trying to pick out every negative thing about dude. It is good to know that the Texans went after the top skilled offensive players and got them. No one should complain about the team not being aggressive enough. Go Brock! Go Miller! Go Texans!
Well, they did make the playoffs last year... And I don't expect Brock to be as hapless as the other QB's were in *this* system. BOB's schemes do require more line reads and audibilizing than Kubiak's did. It's more like what Gase was running with Peyton, prior to Gary coming over, so Brock may end up more comfortable in that sort of dynamic vs the Kubiak bootleg/single read system.
I have no clue what to think about this. What I saw last year left me underwhelmed, but hsi overall stats looked decent. Just have to let this play out. Can't say they didn't take a chance.
