    No.. You are falling into the trap of evaluating a QB when he playing against prevent D. This happened in game 1 when posters thought Mallet showed promise in the final quarter of the game.

    I understand the D is playing prevent, but people that looked like garbage are all of sudden catching balls. Here we go again.. who will start on Thursday LMAO!

    Why do our QBs look good when they come in as a backup in the middle of a game..but suck horribly durring a full game?

    Except that Mallet was playing against for a prevent defense in the 3rd quarter.

    Hoyer isn't gonna be consistently good, but he has shown solid play in stretches, unlike Mallet.
