    Ghost, you're on to something!
Zhou value is beyond his value as a player. He's the #1 Chinese player in the world, because he's the only one in the NBA that I know of (Lin is Chinese American). Because he's Chinese, his marketing value for any team has to be figured into the equation--especially for big markets.

He still has a lot of developing to do, but if he went to a big market team (like NYC or Chicago) and got some more playing time, he could make that owner some cash via the Chinese following he could conjure.

I'm not sure that gets us a late 1st, because those teams aren't in that range, but its worth something.

He could intrigue other teams due to his length and potential of maybe devolping a 3point shot. That's probably worth a 2nd round pick and cash.

Minny would definitely want him from Rockets if a trade does happen with Rockets. They would need to unload Dieng

He’s the type of player that any team would want to take a look at as part of any deal, but he’s not a key piece in any deal.

I do not think he has future pick value in a trade. Future 2nd round “considerations”... maybe, but not a legit pick of value.

He’s gotta show something on the court during meaningful gameplay first.

He’s better than Harden and CP3

Eye of the beholder. Would it be a stretch that other teams look at his value in this manner?

    Length
    BB IQ ( always underated)
Given the mins, can be very good shot blocker
Showing signs of being a potential decent 3 or shooter .
    Very young.

GM's bought in to the rumors about his age which caused his stock to drop. Otherwise, he would have been drafted a lot higher.
