You tell me right now I can get Leonard for Capela, Gordon and Picks... I do it. I deal Anderson for Biyombo or someone else.

I can win a title with Harden, Paul and Leonard.

It's easy to say that in a vacuum, but without guarantees of health and at least some indication we could keep him, I'd be hesitant.

Of course I say that but as it looks more like we may lose Capela all together that makes it easier lol.

I do think people underrate the spacing that Capela creates as a vertical spacing threat and I wonder what the offense would look like without anyone who could attack the rim as a rim runner.

Not this year. Maybe next year.

Either he signs an offer sheet and the Rockets match or he signs a QO which makes him an UFA next season.

As a Base Year Compensation (BYC) player, Capela’s outgoing trade value will be 50% of his new salary, but his incoming trade value is 100% of his new salary. That can make salary matching difficult unless plenty of other salaries are added on both sides of a trade.

Yeah I like Capella but if you get a chance to get Kawhi, you dont even blink.

He takes offense and defense to another level.

    Switch defense.
    Man to man defense.
    Lane defense.
    Help defense.
    Perimeter defense.
    Post defense.

Can create own shot on offense.
    Deadly 3 point shooter.
    Elite finisher.
    Can play off the ball.

All that plus Clutch, clutch, clutch player.

    Absolutely no brainer.

It is a big risk but one I think Morey would take. Make no mistake Capela would be missed but I still do it.

Ultimately you’d have to do it.

Doesn’t matter anyway this probably isn’t realistic

It's a big risk that i'm not sure I'd take to be honest.

He has his eyes set on teams in Los Angeles. So, he'd be just a rental for one year. Plus, we're not certain he'd want to play for us as he may sit out because he wants to be in LA. As much as it would be amazing to have him with what he brings, there's too much risk that any of those outcomes to happen. Unless, we talk to him and see if he does have any interest of coming to Houston.

Until he says he doesn't mind coming here, I'd say not to trade for KL.

    Think about it this way..
If we are going to lose capela anyway next year..why not trade him now for kwahi? So what kwahi leaves...capela was also going to leave next year.
You would think Kwahi + Harden + Paul has a way better shot at the warriors than with Capela.

Yeah, it's one thing to trade Gordon, two firsts for LerBon. It's another to trade Gordon, two firsts and Capela for Kawhi and his crazy ass uncle/agent.

actually reading the latest details about Uncle Dennis I am not sure anymore I want him here. This is far worse than Lavar.

Hiding from the team, refusing to meet even once face to face Pop, cutting off the phones and any means of communication.
Kawhi is a complete and utter idiot and his uncle a megalomaniac idiot.

realistically, Morey won't entertain a kawhi trade if we don't think we have a reasonable chance at resigning. we're not losing EG, CC, and 2 firsts for 1 season of a disgruntled and maybe injured star

Are you kidding me, Morey has never cared about a player saying he won't re-sign lol.

    Geez.

Yeah, if we can't have a conversation with him or CP3 gets word he wants to be here, I'm not interested.
