She seems great doing other people, but it would be interesting to hear her do her own music. I've often wondered why there hasn't been an Asian singer really break out big in the US.
as far as her pop preference of style/vocalization.. she has nothing on a young MJ.. and the notes he was hitting and sustaining at the same age.. she does however.. have more along the lines of singing..than most kids her age do.. but i still can't get over at how starved for greatness.. this world is..
That's an understatement. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SmxeLa193mY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SmxeLa193mY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Well you just compared her to, arguably, the greatest entertainer of all time. That's a pretty good compliment. And to all the people who think she's lip syncing, that's her real voice. Filipinos represent!

I have no idea if they charted in the US. <object width="400" height="320"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AxSV8Xu0RUk&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AxSV8Xu0RUk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="320"></embed></object>
was no complimentary comparison.. was in contrast.. to point out that there is "amazing".. and then there is not amazing..
I'm just saying that if you had to dig up old clips of one the, if not THE greatest talents of all time just make her look dull in comparison means she's pretty damn good.
i did no such thing... and you missed the point.. yes.. "pretty damn good".. not amazing... worthy of acknowledging applause.. but certaintly not this level of praise.. in those videos or in this thread..
Freddy Mercury was pretty big. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cxbFLYa0_bw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cxbFLYa0_bw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
