    A lot of people said that Amare would be washed up that year. He surprised a lot of people.

    D'Antoni never says the PnR is 'unguardable'; he just explains how the Knicks use it and why its an effective play. This thread could do without the editorializing.

    Well the PnR when executed right is exactly what he said, it opens up at least two
    players for open shots, with a good big men, than the D collapses on the big man.
    In our case it will be tough to run when Lin is being trapped,
    Lin will need to learn how to be a PG when being trapped before the PnR can come...
    Espesh with our loss of Camby...but no secrets shown here just basic bball IQ

    this was still the "good Charlotte", when they had one of the better defenses in the league.

    I hate to break it to D'Antoni (& some of the CF posters), but he didn't INVENT the pick & roll (or small ball).

    It existed long before anyone knew who he was.:rolleyes:

    Sloan's PnR with Stockton was far superior and had many better options, like Shandon / Russell cutting from the corner to the basket for a layup, rather than having only 3ptrs as 3rd options.
