I don't agree on your point guard list. 1st Tier - No other point guards are all that close IMO. 1. Deron Williams- Great defense, great offense and great facilitator. He's a Jazz and I hate him. 2. Chris Paul- best combonation of passing and offense in the game but defense is not as good as Williams IMO. 2nd Tier 3. Steve Nash- Old and getting older, not as consistent, can not do it every night any more but still great. 4. Chauncey Billups- Still great but aging fast. Good offensive and defensive skills. Good facilitator and clutch performer. 5. Rajon Rondo- Good mix of defense and offensive skills. There are multiple PG's ready to pass him IMO and he will never be as good as tier one but he is young and will be great for years. 3rd Tier - In no particular order -Aaron Brooks- Poor defense, great offense, average to fair facilitator. A dynamic 3pt shooter and becoming clutch at the end of games. Will never be a tier 1 pg but could be tier 2. -Derrick Rose- Great all around point guard that should be in tier one soon. -Tyreke Evans- Great offensive machine that is going to get a lot better will probably be a 2 guard at some point -Russell Westbrook- Same as Tyreke Evans -Brandon Jennings- could be tier 1 or 2 in the next couple of years. -Tony Parker- Still young enough to regain the greatness he had a couple of years ago but his stock seems to be dropping. Top Subs - Could start for a lot of teams -Marcus Thornton- he looks like all star potential to me and he played like one when Chris Paul was out. -Kyle Lowery- Should be a starter somewhere. Above average defender, very good facilitator, great pushing the fast break and getting to the rim. Shoots a lot of free throws. -George Hill- Looked better than Tony Parker a lot of the time last season. He might be the reason SA is willing to listen to Tony Parker trade scenarios.
its hard for me to post his because last night i ate rancho beans and its hard to type with massive hot farts..ive always been told durant is a sg mostly pg: chris paul deron williams derrick rose sg kobe durant wade sf james granger joe johnson pf gasol dirk bosh c howard b lopez bogut
after looking at my list of the top 15 players in nba, i just realized something, Rockets do not have a top 15 player in league. damn. yao is just to injury prone to even be considered at all.
Marcus Thornton is a shooting guard. Darren Collison is a point guard. Russell Westbrook will never be a SG, unlike Tyreke.
Here's the correct list: Paul Nash Williams Wade Bryant Ginobili James Durant Anthony Duncan Bosh Nowitzki Howard Yao Bogut
Dish material instead of GARM? PG Paul Rondo Williams -->Deron is the purest point in the league, but the other two are able to take over big games with their play. SG Kobe Wade Joe Johnson -->Kobe remains the only SG that by himself keeps his team winning. Wade is spectacular but isn't a leader that inspires play from his teammates. SF James Durant Anthony --->It's closer than I would have expected between LeBron and Durant. The difference remains that Durant only excels at scoring, while LeBron controls the game in multiple ways. PF Dirk Bosh Boozer -->Amare doesn't make the list for me with his refusal to play on both ends, me-only attitude, and inability to dominate without being spoonfed by Nash. C Howard Duncan B Lopez -->Yao doesn't get on until he proves he can still play at an elite level. I love him, but his return is an if until proven otherwise. Currently this is the weakest position in the league, especially with Howard playing with such little will.
I stand corrected. All I remember is how he ripped us apart last season and how well he played with Paul injured.
