Pretty simple concept. Describe the details of your last lie that could have had negative ramifications for you. Please don't bother posting anything that remotely resembles a white lie. I'll start. I was asked by my boss if I could cover an eight hour shift for an employee who was requesting a day off with only two days notice (like most employers, our employer requires two weeks worth of notice for vacation/personal days). The day that I was being asked to work falls on an off day for me. I'm normally a team player and would agree to work it on most occasions but the employee asking for the day off is a complete douchebag and in no way am I putting myself out to do any good deed for him. So, I lied and said that I had an appointment with an eye doctor this Friday that required dilation of my eyes and could not work the shift. I normally go out of my way to avoid having to lie about anything and in cases that I do lie I normally end up being remorseful. I can say that I feel no remorse whatsoever on this occasion. I just hope there isn't any bad karma coming my way as a result. I realize that most would regard the above example as minor and in contrast I expect some here will share some whoppers. If you'd prefer to share your worst lie ever instead of your last lie, then feel free. Let's hear them.
Some shocking revalations here, wouldn't have expected that. OP was alright, but the stories after that were incredible.
