If its that bad, the Texans players would most definitely be speaking up. The fact that none of the marquee players have said anything prior to this year is pretty telling. Cushing was on yesterday saying its a non-issue and he's never had a problem with it (and this is somebody who's knee is basically one more injury away from his career being over). If anything, they complain more about the field-turf they have to use in the practice bubble vs. the actual grass.
Who? And if he did, I wouldn't blame him as he would be looking for excuses as to why he was no longer fit enough to play NFL football.
Ed Reed, the guy who got run out town for saying our coaching staff was a bunch of jokers... the fact that he himself was washed up bears no consequence.
Still have no idea who you're talking about... and if I was washed up, I'd be looking to blame everything else as well. Again, if any marquee Texans player wants to come forward and say they will hold-out or refuse to play on a surface that they feel puts them more at risk for a career threatening injury, they've had 12+ years to do so.
Just because there's not a line stretching out the door of players complaining about the turf doesn't mean it shouldn't be addressed. Welker, Hartman and now Clowney have had major injuries that they've specifically said were due to the turf in NRG. You don't think this should even be considered? Players getting hurt on other fields shouldn't be in this discussion unless those players have specifically blamed their injuries on the turf they played on when they were injured like the 3 players above did.
Ok. I don't understand why some of you are so against accepting that there is a problem here. It's strange.
That's simply not true, all three pointed to the seams as the culprit. I guess we have a lot of people on these boards that work as Texans groundskeepers who are worried about losing their jobs. It's pretty much the only explanation.
Welker never said it, bill did on a radio interview. I listened to the interview, and then saw him stonewall the media about it the next day. Clowney hasn't said anything. We have second hand from DJ Swagg.
Sure, Hoodie was the one that actually said it, but which is it, that no one complains, or that you don't care about it when it causes injuries and people do complain about it?
HEY! If somebody on this board says there is a problem, then there must be a problem!!! Someone posting on CFs must know best...right?
Uhh, it is that no one complains outside of an unemployed punter. Bill b had reason to complain, he shouldn't have been playing Welker in the first place. He just didn't want to lose to the lowly Texans. Again, non contact injuries happen in the NFL all the time, and on all difference surfaces.
Just face it, there are some on this board that can see no wrong with anything the Texans have done, will do, there is nothing but purity and complete perfection radiating from Bob Mcnair's ass and from his tower of mediocrity off of Kirby.
What is your contention? That Belicheck and Swagg are lying cause they have some personal vendetta to impugn NRG's grass? others have complained, you just have excuses as to why those people shouldn't count.
bill was deflecting his poor decision. Swagg is unreliable. others who were not injured. Bill is the only one I know of to say the turf is bad and complained about it.
Swagg is unreliable to comment on how his friend says he got injured? hows that? Also your Belicheck excuse is pretty damn weak. If anyone doesn't care about what the media thinks, its Belicheck.
