Their biggest strength is transition offense - Keep them from running and getting quick / easy shots and you can beat them.

Keep the defensive intensity and the ball movements. Warriors would definitely improve their defense on us and it would be more difficult to get open shots.

Keep up the same level of effort on the defensive end and everything will build off of that. Also, remind the team that 18 foot jumpshots by the Warriors aren't going to beat you. The three point line and shots at the basket need the most focus.

The key here is defense which is why Ryan Anderson who is one of the biggest defensive liabilities on the team needs to be kept on his ass in favor of Tucker, Luc and even Green.

My key to winning is to make sure that by the end of regulation, you have at least 1 point more than them.

    1. Transition game: Don't give Curry and Thompson free 3s on the fast break, recognize any mis-matches quickly. Offensively, reduce high-risk plays, just make better decisions, especially when non-ball handlers are leading the break (eg Ariza, Tucker)
    2. Keep rotation short as in game 2: LMaM cannot contribute at this stage, he is a liability on offense. Gordon and Green are the only 2 bench players that should see any meaningful time (barring fatigue or foul trouble).
    3. Defensive scheme: Curry and Durant can beat you off the dribble and penetrate. Let them beat you 1 on 1, see if they can make the tough buckets. Reduce help defense. Don't help aggressively, especially off shooters. Whoever is marking Thompson should just stick on him, in set play and fast breaks. Don't get him going. Whoever is guarding Green or Iguodala should be the one providing help defense on penetration. Dare those two to make their 3s.
    4. Offense: Keep doing what we have been doing. Better defense will fuel fast breaks. If we score 15 fb points, we are good. Get our 6 shooters to take lots of 3s, but don't abandon the midrange. More penetration and better ball movement upset the Warriors defensive balance and allowed us to find more, higher-quality corner 3s in game 2 (less deflections, more time to fire).

Our death lineup is Tucker, Ariza, Gordon, Harden, and Paul. Continue to play Capela less (no more than say 30 minutes) and utilize our own death lineup more. We destroyed theirs.

Continue to let Durant get his. He shoots a bunch of mid-range shots so we don't really mind that.

Defense should remain focused on the Splash Brothers. They're the ones who shoot lots of threes so they cannot go off.

Bottle up Klay. He's the key to that offense right now; if he's on, it opens up a ton of looks for everyone else.

Stephen isn't healthy and is struggling. He may go off for a game or two this series, but you have to take your chances with that by continuing to attack him on the offensive end and tiring him out.

Have to continue to hunt Steph on offense. Play physical with Klay just like we did last night. I’m honestly fine with KD getting 40, I’m more concerned with Steph and Klay going on those momentum shifting runs. Steph is struggling because of the energy he’s having to expend defensively.

If you look at it, game 1 was very similar to game 3 against Minn and game 2 against Utah. Once we get back to playing our game we’re fine. It’s obviously more difficult to play our game against GS, but we can do it. Focus on coming home with at least a 2-2 series, and I trust that we can force and win a game 7, which is when home court really does play a factor. We can do this!!!

Play Defense, Play up tempo down the court before defense gets position

Body up and be aggressive on GSW players, take them out of comfort zone

Most importantly, come out strong early and silence the bandwagon bay area crowd

curry being hurt is one of the weakest excuses out there right now. not even valid. hes all of sudden not healthy bc hes playing houston. but he had no problem against the nop and people said he was back and 100%. on top of that he gets about a week off before this series starts. what a bunch of bs.

I would keep forcing Durant to beat us by turning him into an iso scorer on defense

On offense, I would just attack early and often just like game 2.

Obviously, the Warriors are going to make adjustments but I think that the biggest takeaway is not to let GS set up defensively. When they are set up, it’s virtually guaranteed to result in a poor percentage shot or a shot clock violation.

Golden State needs to do exactly what the Rockets did in game 2. Rather that relying on KD to get whatever he wants, he need to get his teammates involved. Durant has 1 assist so far, so I would anticipate addressing that is going to be a key adjustment the Warriors attempt to make in game 3.

To counter that, the Rockets need to anticipate it and continue to counter it by denying the passing lanes, particularly to Curry and Thompson. (easier said than done I know)

I think you lay off Draymond give him whatever he wants. Keep Capela at home as a rim protector and don't switch him out to the perimeter at all.

Also, Tuck-wagon as much as possible.

Keep moving the rock and attacking the rim, hit 3's, and have one of our bench scrubs kick donkey in his teeth by the end of the game.
